Frenchtoast-wiches

What do you get when you make a sweet sandwich into french toast?
Nirvana.

For you sweet lovers who gave up chocolate or something sweet for lent, here are some recipes which allow you to indulge!
I ate this sandwich for dinner and the following for breakfast, which goes to show brinner (breakfast for dinner) can be enjoyed at anytime of day.

Rachel's Raspberry Cheesecake French toast
(recipe makes 1 sandwich ea.)
2 slices of white bread
2 tbs good raspberry jam
2 tbs of cream cheese
2 eggs beaten
2 tbs whole milk
cinnamon

Directions:
1. Make a sandwich with creamcheese and jam. Dip the sandwich in a batter of beaten eggs, milk and cinnamon.
2. Fry on medium heat until golden brown.

If you like, you can make several types of sandwiches using the same egg and milk batter. Allow your imagination and cravings to guide you. For me, bananas and peanut butter have always reigned supreme.

Happy Monkey French toast
1 banana
2tbs of peanut butter
2tbs honey
2 slices of bread

Just in case you wanted something a little more savory, try this:
2 slices tomato
3 tbs goat cheese
2 leaves of sage, if you fry the sage first its EXTRA delicious.
