An EASY Spanish Tapa

Tostas (which means open sandwich) are very popular in Spain and an easy way to have a lil snack while having a drink with friends.
Here in Santiago, the best place to grab a tosta is at Filandon, which I've already blogged about as the best bocadillo (sandwich) place in town. (See photo for proof) Anyhow, the other day my roommate showed me how to make a quick tosta which, you can easily whip out the next time you have friends over.

Ingredients:
A good artisan baguette (hard to find in the states but just try to find a good crusty bread)
2-3 Tomatoes
Sliced chorizo (feel free to substitute this for any good quality, thinly sliced meat, or even tuna)
Sliced cheese (manchengo or any sharp cheese will do)
Oregano and olive oil for drizzling

Step one, cut the bread in half longwise
Step two, remove some of the insides of the bread, think of it as a vessle of all of your favorite things, well mine at least- cheese and meat
Step three, cut the tomatoes in half and rub the open end on the bread so that it is dressed in pulp
Step four, lay the meat and cheese then drizzle with oregano and olive oil
Step five, broil until the cheese is melted and serve!

HOW EASY WAS THAT?
